Comvita was started by two beekeepers, Claude Stratford and Alan Bougen, in a basement in Paengaroa, Te Puke in 1974. Still based in Paengaroa, we have grown to be an international natural health company committed to the development of innovative products, backed by credible scientific research.

Beekeeping is still at the heart of Comvita, and with the wholly owned Kiwi Bee apiary business continuing to grow each year, we need beekeepers of all levels to join us on our journey.
